bonding: generally refers to applying a tooth colored
plastic to the tooth to change its size, shape, color or
all of the above. It's a gentle technique normally
requiring minimal changes to the underlying natural tooth
and is ideal for closing gaps and making modifications to
a few teeth. Again, no local anesthesia is needed and
generally only one visit is required for work that can be
expected to last three to five years.
